Cody Briggs – An experienced expert in environment and nature

Cody Briggs is a civil engineering graduate from UCLA and received his Master of Science in regenerative studies from the John T. Lyle Center at Cal Poly Pomona.

After a fulfilling career in Southern California for 15+ years, Cody moved to Joshua Tree to have a greater connection to nature. He has fallen in love with the Morongo Basin and all of the magic the desert has to offer – he wants to help you find your special place in the desert, too.

His certifications include a professional engineering license (civil) for the State of California, certified energy manager, envision sustainability professional and certified trainer, LEED AP BD&C, and qualified SWPPP Developer.

“I’ve been an active member of the America Society of Civil Engineers since 2004, serving in multiple positions at the various levels of ASCE.”

In 2014, he was recognized as the Outstanding Civil Engineer in the Private Sector for the Metropolitan Los Angeles Branch and Los Angeles Section.

He is the past chair of the Los Angeles Section’s sustainability committee, a member of the committee on sustainability strategic communications committee section, branch, and liaison working group, and a committee member of sustainability’s envision training sub-committee.
